Rogue Research established in 2003 and specializes in research on health and wellness issues. Since 2008, Valley Fever or coccidioidomycosis has been Rogue’s focus. Randall Thomason, founder of Rogue Research, believes that although genetics might predispose some people and animals to illness, there is much more to be discovered in why diseases progress in so many different ways. Thomason is preparing eight years of data for publication that provides new observations on how coccidioidomycosis manifests. Based upon these observations Rogue is launching the Canine Valley Fever Project to better identify correlating factors.

Thomason is a research biochemist and consultant with over 30 years in laboratory and clinical disciplines focusing on disease prevention and treatment, behavioral, performance and nutritional enhancement for animal and human application. Thomason received his Masters at the University of Washington, Seattle, and has worked clinically with animals at the University as well as Puget Sound University in Tacoma, Washington and Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. The focuses of his studies were clinical nutrition, supplementation, alternative disease therapy and hormone influence of immune corridors.

Jane Thomason is the Administrator at Rogue Research and Project Manager for the Canine Valley Fever Project. As a pet advice writer she has written over 100 newspaper columns that were published regionally and nationally. She believes in “common sense” & holistic pet care and husbandry and provides the public with free pet education in her weekly radio show. For the last 8 years, she has worked tirelessly to help pet parents with sick Valley Fever dogs, get their dogs back to vibrant health through diet and nutrition. She was published in a peer reviewed scientific journal.
